Burmese Traditional Food

Burmese traditional food has a good taste as well as full of nutrients. Compared to western food, Burmese taste are more chilly, salty, sour and pickles. Some traditional Burmese foods associated with 12-month seasonal festivals. 1. Mohinga

9. Htama Nae

Hta Ma Nae is a traditional Burmese food made mainly from glutinous rice. Mixed together with ginger, garlic, onion in sticky rice, with sesame seeds and heated on fire. It is a seasonal food and you can only eat Hta Ma Nae in winter season.

They also serve as gathering spots for people to socialize and relax.
